
"Father of the nation"...Mahatma Gandhi
Full name of Gandhiji is Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He is also known as "Bapu", "Mahatma Gandhi" and "Father of the nation". Ghandhiji was born at Porbunder of Indian state Gujarat.Gandhiji was a preacher of truth and "Ahimsa" (without violence). He began the "Satyagraha" movement for the freedom struggle of the Indians. He believed in living a simple life and "Swadesh". He revealed to the world that freedom can be achieved through violence. Gandhi is a symbol of peace and truth.On this day, the President and the Prime Minister and other prominent political leaders pay tribute to Raj Ghat - the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. All offices and schools throughout the country remain closed to this day.Memories of Gandhi Jayanti back a long way to school. Gandhi Jayanti no application celebrations. Lessons effectively ended with a lunch hour, and in the second half of the day, we would simply "work". We dig the earth at the rear of the school and Sapling factory, we went to the barracks and provide free drugs, we would be painting a few walls ... a variety of odd jobs that kept changing by the day, this year.Later, during the week decreased gradually and disappeared under the pressure of academics there was a twinge of regret at the loss of good times. But while it lasted, we did not know what it is all over, only that it is somehow linked to Gandhi Jayanti. We did not ask, either - we liked what we did, and that was enough. It was much later that I discovered why the service we had done. It was our way of remembering the services that Mahatma Gandhi had visited the nation, our way of the further implementation of his philosophy to help itself by helping others, his dream of acquiring of autonomy, its task of building a strong nation. It was our promise that we remember Mahatma Gandhi and his contribution to the construction of Indian nationhood.
